This ranch-style home was built in 1972 by a local contractor who built many of the neighborhood homes. It is solid and safe, passing all inspections required when I purchased it in 2006, and refinanced in 2009. It has evaporative air conditioning and central heat as well as a fireplace. We were raising a family here with three children and were very comfortable. The backyard was easily the highlight of the home for us as a family, where the kids could enjoy playing on the sheltered patio, grass or sandbox within view of the kitchen and den windows.
The abundant rose bushes and the peach tree are also key features. The peach tree produced enough fruit that we were able to can a bunch, eat 'till we were sick, and give away bags that remained. We were also able to raise a productive garden on the south side-yard of the home. The lawn and most of the roses are on automatic watering systems.
The neighborhood is very quiet and calm, and we were able to cultivate many close friends and positive acquaintances on and around the block. For being so close to all that the city can provide, you really get more of a quiet suburb feel.
The whole time we lived here, we were able to park both vehicles (a mini-van and a full-size sedan) in the garage. There is a large storage platform above the garage where we were able to store all we needed for our five-person family and keep the rest of the home uncluttered.
School Info
Click on the word SCHOOLS for the link to APS showing which public school boundaries the home lies within.
The neighborhood elementary school is Onate Elementary of APS. Greatschools.org gives it an 8/10 rating, and we were very happy with it. It is about 1/3 mile walk or drive from the house and adjacent to a large park area with tennis courts, playground, and several acres of open grass. We held soccer practices here. Onate Elementary is also undergoing renovations/improvements this summer.
The middle school for this home is Jackson Middle School. We are unfamiliar with it, as we did not have middle-school age children. It is located less than two miles from the home.
The public high school for this home is one of the better high-schools in Albuquerque, Eldorado High School. Greatschools.org gives it a rating of 10/10. They are very successful both academically and athletically and have many specialized programs for diverse interests from sciences to arts. It is also less than two miles from the home.
There are also many academies, charter, and private schools close-by in the city. There are also several accredited University campuses in the city where higher education can be obtained, and many high-school students can pursue higher education in conjunction with their high-school diplomas.

The Backyard
Here is a view of the back of the house.
This is the side of the house that has access. Both gates can be swung wide open and large vehicles moved into the side and back yard.

Below are two views of the backyard from the kitchen window (a good way to keep your eye on the kids).

Den
The Den is spacious and open with the kitchen area. It is very easy to change its configuration from a TV room with a wall-mounted flat-screen, to a relaxed sitting/reading area. The large window in the den faces East. The ceiling fans make things nice in the summer and the winter, as the den has a fully functional fireplace.

Main Hallway and Bathroom
This is the Main Hallway that leads to the shared bathroom and all of the bedrooms in the home. The small door at the end of the hallway is a linen closet, with the two doors on the left leading to bedrooms and the two on the right leading to the shared bathroom and Master Bedroom respectively.
Below is the shared bathroom. Notice the nice solid wood cabinetry providing plenty of storage space for toiletries, towels, and cleaning supplies.
